Arriving through the gate at The River House, guests sense the unique.  The road winds down to a river bend, a sort of peninsula, where the cozy cabin sits on the river banks.  When artist Angela Blehm first experienced this arrival, she knew this was the place for a long-held dream of creative retreats and stays. 

 

In 2011, Angela, as a young mom, took her first creative retreat, making art for two weeks in a beautiful setting.  It was then that the dream was born to offer this experience of art immersion and learning to others.  Now, she and her husband Clayton are happy to host families, friends, and individuals to this special place in the Appalachian foothills.

 

While the rushing Etowah River and wooded 5-acres provide most of the memorable ambiance, Angela carefully crafted the interiors of the River House and Studio Loft to inspire and delight.  Original vintage and contemporary art cover the walls.  Comfortable furnishings provide a place to rest.  The River House is where nature and art meet for a special one-of-a-kind property.
